Great Expectations // The Gaslight Anthem

Hello there! My name is Sydney; I live in a small rural town in southern Manitoba, Canada. The Gaslight Anthem is my favourite band so I’ve decided to use the first of my songjournal posts to show my appreciation. 

The last couple years have been turbulent for me to say the least, but I’ve also been blessed in the way that I’ve discovered new bands and artists that have gotten me through everything imaginable. I have big dreams and music is the one thing that keeps me sane enough to wake up in the morning and work towards them. 

This song means a lot to me, as it has since I first heard it. I feel like I’m always waiting for something to happen. Always safe, never making the party. I don’t mind so much, but when a song comes along and seems to know your own head better than you do… spooky. 

Anyway, I hope I can provide something worth reading and even mildly interesting for the next thirty-one days. If not, I hope you enjoy my song choices and have yourself a wonderful month.:)
