Fragile Bird // City & Colour

So, here’s another great Canadian artist. I admit I was never too taken by Alexisonfire but when I started listening to City & Colour after Little Hell came out I was blown right the fuck away.

I tie this song to this one night during summer; I was hustled into an SUV full of teenaged guys I didn’t know (terrifyingly bad for my anxiety) but since my friend knew them and they seemed okay I went with it. We drove through this little tiny town to get to the school’s playground and as we did this song came on the radio. We cranked it and banged the shit out of the inside of the car to the opening riff. It was pretty stellar.

But then, like the shitty Canadian prairie town it is, the RCMP (yes, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police) were called about a “noise disturbance” and we decided that was our cue to get out of there. But this album is pristine. I don’t listen to it enough.
