Off With Their Heads - Theme Song.

When I think of the future all I see is it bringing me pain, misery and poverty.

This song brings me back to the Fall/Winter of 2008. I had just started going to Rutgers in New Brunswick, NJ, The Ergs! had broken up, I worked two part-time jobs(Build-A-Bear Workshop(LOL) and Gamestop) and I drank a lot of beer. This song and the whole Hospitals EP remind me of that time. Typically I would listen to this on the way from my house to the mall to go to work to do shit that I hated. All the songs on this record sound winter-like and frostbitten to me. Some music just has the effect of reminding me of a season. It can’t be explained.

My friend Sam once described Off With Their Heads as being “blunt like a Hemingway novel”. So right.
