Part I: Ask A Punk!

The Measure are practically the reason why I ever went to basement shows in New Brunswick, NJ. Back when I had just transferred to Rutgers, I had been to maybe one show in the hub city(at The Parlor). Once I transferred I got more and more into this shitty music. I began to seek out shows in the area. At the time I had no one else to ask about where a show was happening, so I asked the bands via myspace(boy I’m dating myself with that reference LoL!!) Whoever was answering these messages(Tim? Fid?) is the reason I ever got into the New Brunswick scene and DIY shows in general, and thus the reason I ever found my way to the doorsteps of places like Meat Town USA and Death Valley.

Part II: Boyz II Men

The Measure played their last show at The Fest 10 in Gainesville, Florida. However their real last show was at The Loft in New Brunswick. This was maybe the most fun day of my entire life. I bonded with about ten other people when the cat that lived there pooped on the floor right next to his litter box. I got day drunk and stumbled to a pizzeria and brought back pizza for all of my friends. Shellshag played an epic set, and then after the Measure played I went to see fucking Thor!!! THE BEST SUPER HERO MOVIE EVER. 

Part III: Shitty Tattoos
