Minor Threat - Straight Edge.

Like a lot of people I know, I had a straight edge phase. It began when I first started listening to punk/hardcore, and lasted until shortly after high school(edge ‘till ‘ege). That’s not to say that I started drinking and doing drugs right after high school. It was just the point in my life that I stopped identifying with straight edge.

There is probably a lot of shit I believed in when I was younger that I don’t believe in anymore. There’s some stuff that I’ve just grown too cynical to care about. I know a lot of people that are straight edge and they rule. It’s never been an issue for me that they are edge and I’m not or vise versa.  You know why? I only associate with people who rule.

Listening to Minor Threat today still rules. Because Minor Threat will always rule. It’s also a reminder that there will always be a part of my younger self that is still with me~
