Don’t need pride of place, but in your good books I might rate a page.
East Coast Fuck You part III:
One winter I got the chance to see forgetters play at a house show in Brooklyn. It was a really cold and icy night and I fell on my ass in front of a KFC. A dude in an SUV was driving by with his window down and yelled “HOW DAT ASS FEEL?” at me. It was pretty amazing.
The show was okay. What I remember most was being 5 feet away from Black Schwarzenbach. After the show was over I stood with my friends on the porch of the house and Blake was smoking a cigarette. I don’t like to idolize musicians that I like, but it was still pretty weird. I wish I had asked him if he was smoking a Chesterfield King, just to piss him off.
I wrote these last few entries as a sort of tribute to the East Coast. I’m not sure if I’ll ever move away from it. These overrated cities all all that I know. Some pretty fantastic stuff happens in them.
Brooklyn is a pretty awful place all around though.
I’m sorry that this is the worst songjournal ever guys.
