I chose this song because the line above pretty much sums up my feelings towards Thanksgiving, and a lot of other holidays. Yes, I am the douchebag that thinks about how horrible Thanksgiving is on Thanksgiving. In fact I do that for most holidays so don’t invite me to any parties ever. It really disturbs me that people celebrate most holidays and ignore the shit that’s actually behind them. I’m not going to take the opportunity to talk about Thanksgiving’s bullshit context because songjournal isn’t a political soapbox. I chose this song because these are things I think about during most holidays.
