The Ergs!- Books About Miles Davis

the Ergs! were supposed to change my life. I know more than 5 people with the “!” tattoo. I really enjoy them, and I’ve teabagged and iced Mikey Erg. Joe Erg saw me pants a man once and called it “masterful”. I think there’s another Erg but I have no idea. The only really cool story about the Ergs! I have is one time, before I knew them, I saw them open for Less Than Jake.

Its kind of been a running joke. My NJ friends have always been super into pop punk and I’ve only been dabbling for maybe a year or two at best. Two years ago my friend Amanda asked me to go to Insubordination Fest in Baltimore. I spent 3 days watching bands I had never heard of, but I had the best time of my life meeting people and finding new bands. 

The downside is, having not had any prior Jerseycore experience I didn’t really know what to expect and I kind of thought every single person looked like Mikey Erg (which is still true to a point). I actually made a lot of friends down there that summer, friends that I still talk to.
