I decided to start things off easy today because I’m pretty much three hours behind (Alaskans and Hawaiians ignore this, you’re probably still think I’m on time.) I’m tired, slightly drunk, and not too willing to write a diatribe.

Bowie is the soundtrack to my life. Walking anywhere is made infinitely better by throwing on some tracks from Hunky Dory or Ziggy Stardust because I just feel like I’m walking through the set of a Wes Anderson flick.

Ziggy Stardust was my first official foray into the world of Bowie and it was almost like a religious experience to me. I’m so wrapped up in all these modern artists, but then I found Bowie and he came this ancient beacon of interesting music. No other artists but The Beatles and, maybe, The Who have had as close of an effect on me as Bowie has.
