The Big Big Bucks - Summer Bummer

Hello internet, are you there? It’s me, Ali. I’m a 20 year old student studying in Boston. During the school year I have couple of radio shows at my college’s radio station. One of them is a folk/folk-punk/punk radio show called Bring Your Own Band, which showcases local bands and artists with live on-air performances. The other show is called Left of the Dial, which is on every day during the work week (I DJ one day of those five days). Left of the Dial focuses on new, local, and independent artists. I am one of the music directors of my school’s station, which rules since my friend Liz/co-music director and I get to pick out all the rotation music/curate what people have to play on Left of the Dial.

I also run a blog/zine called “SHUT UP!” If you’re in the Boston area, check it out. It’s mostly about music/cultural events going on in the area. I haven’t printed an actual zine in a while because of being busy or whatever, but it’s in the works.

The song I’m starting off my song journal experience with is by the Big Big Bucks, an Allston band. If you like this song, check out some of their other stuff. Summer rules, but I’m leaving Boston so my summer in Boston is over, which is a total bummer. I’m returning to my homeland, New Jersey, too soon.
